Volunteering
By thinking back to those who, in each of our lives, made the mundane special, who brought excitement to the everyday, who transformed us with little moments of "magic", we found the ideal positioning, and ideal descriptor for the role of the Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteer in a child's life.
Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is all about being a special friend. Sharing your energy with a child where together you expand your horizons and add 'magic' to the everyday moments of life. Your friendship will be a very gratifying and mutually rewarding experience for both of you.
We have several programs available to fit conveniently into your life. You can meet with a child during the weekend, during their school day, or after-school, which ever works the best for you. Volunteering does not have to be time consuming; it is as simple as including a child into your typical day.
